Company Also Announces More Than $45,000 in College Scholarships

Vertical Bridge, the largest private owner and manager of communication towers and locations in the U.S., is proud to announce the most recent accomplishments of its philanthropic program, the Vertical Bridge Charitable Network (VBCN): a $25,000 donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Central Florida and the awarding of 15 college scholarships.

On Friday, July 21, 2017, Vertical Bridge CEO and Co-Founder Alex Gellman presented a $25,000 check to the Boys & Girls Club of Central Florida during a summer barbeque and carnival organized and hosted by VBCN for more than 250 Orlando children, ages 4-18. The club was chosen by Vertical Bridge employees as the organization to work with this year as part of the company’s annual meeting in Orlando.

“VBCN is a key pillar of our company. To be able to give back to a great organization, not just by donating money, but by hosting an unforgettable day like this, is fantastic,” said Gellman. “Every participant, whether Vertical Bridge employees or the kids, walked away with smiles on their faces. As a company, we couldn’t be happier to support the Boys & Girls Club of Central Florida.”

Gellman noted that over 140 Vertical Bridge employees from across the country barbecued, manned game booths, and handed out prizes to participants. The event also featured a special musical performance and inspirational talk by award-winning country singer Billy Dawson.

In addition to its work with Boys & Girls Club of Central Florida, Vertical Bridge also announced the winners of its college scholarship program benefiting immediate family members of its employees. The scholarships were awarded to 15 high school and college students from across the country and totaled more than $45,000. Recipients were required to meet high academic standards, be active in their community and submit an essay about either the value of community service work or how technology will shape the future.

VBCN is on track to donate over one million dollars to meaningful charitable organizations and programs nominated by Vertical Bridge employees by the end of 2017.
